About me
So far my life has included creative projects in many forms ranging from backyard plays, high school fundraisers, community art shows, provincial policy changemaking, national movements and business ventures.
In my career I have had the privilege of working in innovative and creative spaces, one of my proudest achievements being establishing Siblings Canada and my most humbling being caring for my brother who has lived experience of disability. These experiences have required me to continually explore unconventional concepts, push boundaries and reimagine what is possible.
Over the years, I have shouldered many responsibilities and navigated complex challenges both at home and professionally. I have worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles for myself, my brother, my family, my community, the caregiving and disability sector.
In part brought on by unexpected pressures of the pandemic, I feel the need for a new direction. I am now focused on creatively expressing my experiences through art and storytelling.
I am working on a diploma of fine art at the Ottawa School of Art. I am also rediscovering creative writing. Both stretch me in new and joyful ways.
